Q:
What is Buffalo, NY Style Pizza?
A:
Not a thick crust. Not a thin crust. Toppings to the edge. A sweeter sauce. Cup & Char Pepperoni. Huge 18” pies. [Neither NYC Thin nor Chicago Deep Dish]
Q:
What are the most popular items on the menu?
A:
Any size pizza with our signature Cup & Char Pepperoni. Our top selling specialty pizza is The Triple Char. Our top selling wing item is our Signature Chicken Wings (Buffalo Hot). Staff favorites include: Cheesy Garlic Bread; Pizza Logs; Buffalo Chicken Finger Sub; Philly Cheesesteak; baddcookie
Q:
Aside from being a “Buffalo, NY Style Pizza & Wings” joint, what sets baddpizza apart from other pizza places?
A:
We exclusively use fresh premium grade ingredients, and everything is made from scratch on a daily basis at each store. Every morning we make our own dough, mix our special sauce, shred the mozzarella cheese, and hand slice baddpizza’s signature Cup & Char Pepperoni.
Q:
Why are Friday nights so hectic at baddpizza?
A:
Like every other popular pizza place, Friday nights are by far our busiest night of the week. We love being busy, but unfortunately, can only make so many pizzas and fry so many wings between 5pm and 7:30pm. We are constantly reevaluating our processes to make things run more smoothly, and have really come a long way – but Friday nights continue to be “crazy”. Please know that our family owned small business is doing our absolute best to provide our customers with the best experience possible and we encourage your feedback if you see room for improvement.
Q:
How big is baddpizza’s “Whole” pie and how many people does it feed?
A:
Our 18” baddpizza whole pie = a whopping 254 square inches (cut into 12 slices)! A national chain large pizza measures 14” and provides only 154 square inches of pizza. Our whole pizza is ~65% larger and 1000% more DELICIOUSLY BADD. A whole 18″ pie usually feeds a 4-5 person family.
Q:
Does baddpizza have any specials?
A:
We offer weekday Lunch Specials as well as Everyday Combo Meals that pair our two most popular menu items – pizza and wings. Visit our baddpizza Specials web page for details on these specials and other daily specials. We also offer occasional holiday or other event specials which we advertise through social media and our website. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter to hear about these offers.
Q:
What should I do if I have a bad (one “d”) experience ordering from baddpizza?
A:
Contact us directly at baddthoughts@baddpizza.com within 48 hours (rather than racing to post a 1-star review on a social media site). We will get back to you to try to make things right. Please include pictures (if applicable). As a family owned small business, we want all our customers to love baddpizza as much as we do, every single time you order; but we are aware things unfortunately go awry from time to time.
Q:
What are your catering options?
A:
We would love to cater your special event / party / function! Contact us at baddthoughts@baddpizza.com with details (date, time, location, number of people, your contact info), and we will get back to you quickly.
Q:
I am interested in setting up a Spirit Night / Dining Out Night fundraiser for my child’s school / sports team / local organization. Who do I contact
A:
You have come to the right place! We strive to be involved in our local community and would love to be part of your school’s fundraising efforts. We have been doing these fundraisers for many schools / groups in the area already with great success. Please email us at baddthoughts@baddpizza.com with your contact information and we will get in touch as soon as possible!
Q:
Does baddpizza offer a military discount?
A:
Yes! We appreciate your service and every Monday we offer a 10% discount for military personnel for orders up to $100. [Valid on pickup orders only and customer must present a valid military ID. Can be used in conjunction with BADDMONDAY, but not with any other discounts / promotions / mailers / coupons.]
Q:
Does baddpizza have a loyalty program?
A:
Yes! Yes! We launched our ‘baddhabits’ customer rewards program in the Fall of 2020. With every baddpizza food purchase you earn points that can be used towards a future order. You can sign-up for the baddhabits rewards program three different ways:

  1. Direct Sign-up Online.
  2. At check-out when placing an in-store order.
  3. At check-out when placing an online order.
Q:
Do you offer any Gluten-Free options?
A:
YES!!! YES! We offer a deliciously badd gluten-free cauliflower crust (prepared in an area where products with gluten are also prepared). Our gluten-free customers rave that it is one of the best GF pizzas they have found!

We try our best to use separate fryers for our fried menu items that contain gluten (fried dough, chicken tenders, boneless bites, mozzarella sticks, pizza logs, french fries), but it is impossible for us to guarantee that any of our fried products are 100% gluten-free. Despite our best efforts, we cannot eliminate the risk of cross-contamination occurring in our busy kitchens. Check out our Allergen Information page for more details.

Q:
Where can I find information about food allergens as it relates to the baddpizza menu?
A:
Check out our Allergen Information page for information on common food allergens used in our kitchens. If this information does not answer your questions, please feel free to email us as baddthoughts@baddpizza.com.
Q:
Where is the closest baddpizza location to me?
A:
We currently have three locations in the Washington DC area – South Riding, VA; Falls Church, VA; & McLean, VA. Use our Locations map tool to find the store closest to you.
Q:
Why do you use DoorDash drivers for delivery?
A:
baddpizza first tried launching delivery with our own drivers and found it impossible to compete for qualified drivers with the large chains and food delivery services. Our current point of sale (POS) system offered an integration with DoorDash that still allowed us to use our POS and online ordering system, but take advantage of the large network of DoorDash drivers for delivery. Unable to hire enough drivers on our own, we have decided to give this a try. We are aware that it is not a perfect system and hope as our business grows we can find a better solution.
Q:
Why can’t I order Pit Wings with Buffalo sauce?
A:
Due to the amount of butter in buffalo sauce, grilling our pit wings after they’ve been tossed in buffalo sauce can cause a fire hazard so we can only offer them with BBQ or Honey Mustard.
Q:
What is the baddpizza policy when a customer orders from the wrong store location?
A:
We train our staff to clearly identify the store during a phone order and our online ordering site displays the location in several places, but we understand that this mistake is still going to happen from time-to-time. If the mistake is between our McLean and Falls Church locations, you are lucky – they are only 7 minutes apart so you can easily still go grab your food. If the issue occurs between our South Riding store and one of the other stores, you have a couple options:

Wait For Us to Remake the Order
We realize you made the mistake, but we are happy to remake your order right away. If you’d like to help our small family-owned business cover the cost of the other food that was already made, we’d add a 35% charge. Either way we will remake your order as we appreciate your business. It’s entirely up to you.

You Can’t Wait for the Order to be Remade
We are a small, family-owned operation that cannot always absorb the costs of errors outside of our control and appreciate customers being willing to at least cover the cost of the food that was already made due to their error. Depending on the size of the order a discount or refund will be at the manager’s discretion.

Q:
Who is Stevie Badd?
A:
Steven Houck, best known as “Stevie Badd,” is the namesake behind our company. Stevie has worked in the Buffalo pizza and wing industry for over 25 years serving up hundreds of thousands of pies, and literally millions of wings. Stevie moved to the Washington DC area in 2019 to help long-time friend and baddpizza proprietor, Joel Salamone pursue their dream of bringing Buffalo, NY style pizza and wings to the DC area. And with decades of experience working for one of the most famous Western NY pizza and wing joints, it’s only fitting that our pizza empire is named after him!
Q:
Do you offer shipping of baddpizza pizzas nationwide?
A:
We are in the process of making this a reality! We are hoping to have an ordering system / process in place by February 2021 for people outside the Washington, DC metro area to enjoy Buffalo, NY style pizza wherever they live. Our plan will be to ship pizzas out every week on Wednesdays for next day delivery on Thursdays.
Q:
Blue Cheese or Ranch?
A:
This shouldn’t even be a question. Any Buffalonian would tell you Blue Cheese is the only way to go. (And one day we may start making our own Blue Cheese. We just haven’t yet.)
Q:
What are the best ways to reheat baddpizza?
A:
  1. Store left over slices inside airtight containers so they don’t dry out (plastic snap ware; sealable food storage bags).
  2. Microwave for ~30 seconds (to get all the toppings and the cheese heated up).
  3. Place in a nonstick frying pan (lid on) for 2-5 minutes to crisp the bottom to your desired level. Monitor while cooking so it doesn’t burn.
Q:
Can I get information about opening a baddpizza franchise location?
A:
Absolutely! While we are not ready to start offering them for sale just yet, we are planning on making them available by the end of 2021. Reserving your place in line as early as possible is recommended as we get inquiries on a daily basis. If interested, email us at baddthoughts@baddpizza.com.
